Seal U dmi dash cam

Having failed AliExpress not original dash cam this one fits and works perfectly.

Works perfectly. App magically installs itself.

Bought with a cable as the UK Seal-U isn't pre-wired.

Hardest part of the fit was concealing the cable around the top of the A post (the trim of which does not need to be removed). Louis Taylor's UK YouTube video covers the rest of the required trim removal well. Just note that to remove the centre trim next to the glove box, the glove box needs to have been removed as the trim needs to enter the space it occupies as it comes out.

So easy to install

I bought this to have built-in dashcam. I previously used a Viofo front-and-rear dashcam (A229 Pro), which I will install in the Seal at some point, but installing this Top BYD camera was so easy and affordable, I decided to buy it. It took me about 20mins to install, the instructions and tools were easy to follow - just a bit hard to get the right seating position in the car to do the work as I'm tall.
Once installed, the integration with the infotainment is so simple. By default, it auto-records when the car is started, onto an SD card you'll need to install. I couldn't get some of my SD cards to work until I formatted them as FAT32 (not ExFAT).
I love how the recorded video has an overlay which shows your pressure on the throttle, if you're pressing the brakes, if you're indicating, lights on, which gear you're in (DNR), and speed. Very helpful!
