Perfect addition for BYD

This should have been provided as default from BYD. It's a must to have and makes it very easy to open the bonnet. To be honest, took a quite to figure out how to install, would have been great if topbyd provided some instructions with this.

Nevertheless, love this addition to the car, good quality product

Bonnett Strut Atto 3

The Struts look great, currently unable to fit them as a piece was missing. I contacted TopBYD, they responded quickly, and the missing part was dispatched immediately. When it arrives, I can install them. Thanks for supporting me.

Not Recommended

The items supplied were different to those in the diagrams/photos. The items were received quickly and well wrapped however one strut has damage on the outside of the cylinder like it had been held in a vice and turned so removing some of the paint finish. On fitting the struts did not line up very well with everything tightened up. Whilst they held the weight of the bonnet nicely, they interfered with the bonnet opening. On releasing the catch first stage the bonnet popped up. On releasing the catch second stage the bonnet would not release and open as it did before fitting the struts. It took numerous attempts to get the bonnet open and could only be achieved with two people - one operating the catch and the other manipulating the bonnet to get it to release. This may be a one off problem but from my experience I cannot recommend fitting these particular struts as they are incompatible with the two stage bonnet release mechanism. I have removed the struts and now the bonnet releases as before. They have been a waste of money - very disappointed.
