BYD ATTO 3 vs ATTO 3 EVO: What's Changed and Which Accessories Are Compatible?
Introduction
The BYD ATTO 3 was one of BYD's early electric vehicles to enter international markets, helping establish the brand among EV owners worldwide. Since its overseas launch, it has become a popular choice for drivers looking for a practical, fully electric SUV.
Now, the arrival of the BYD ATTO 3 EVO brings a range of updates to the familiar model. However, things can be a little confusing because the naming and specifications may vary between markets. In some countries, the updated vehicle may still be sold under the ATTO 3 name rather than ATTO 3 EVO, leaving owners unsure which version they have and which accessories they need.
If you own an ATTO 3 or are considering upgrading to the ATTO 3 EVO, you may be wondering whether your existing accessories, or those you plan to purchase, will still fit.
Although the two models share a name and some similarities, changes to the exterior, interior and storage areas affect the compatibility of certain accessories. The good news is that some products can still be used on both versions.
In this guide, we'll explain the main differences between the BYD ATTO 3 and ATTO 3 EVO and show you which accessories are available for each model.
1. Exterior Design: New Bumpers, Side Skirts and Roof Spoiler
Compared with the original ATTO 3, the ATTO 3 EVO features refreshed exterior styling, including redesigned front and rear bumpers, new 18-inch alloy wheel designs, revised side skirts and an updated roof spoiler.

These changes give the EVO a refreshed appearance, but they also affect the fitment of certain exterior accessories.
For example, bumper trim, exterior styling kits and roof spoilers are designed around specific body contours and mounting points. Even small differences can prevent an accessory from fitting correctly.
Mud flaps are one example of an accessory that is not interchangeable: the mounting positions have changed on the ATTO 3 EVO, so our currently available ATTO 3 mud flaps are not compatible with the EVO. We do not currently offer an EVO-specific version.
When shopping for exterior accessories, always check the product's listed compatibility rather than assuming that accessories for the original ATTO 3 will fit the newer model.
2. Interior Design: A Redesigned Centre Console and Larger Instrument Display
The interior is another major difference between the two models.

In the original ATTO 3, the gear selector is positioned on the centre console alongside the cup holders and storage compartments. In the ATTO 3 EVO, the gear selector has been moved closer to the steering wheel, and the centre console has been redesigned.
The digital instrument display has also increased in size, from 5 inches to 8.8 inches.
These changes affect several interior accessories, including centre console organiser trays, cup holder inserts, centre console silicone pads and dashboard storage accessories. Products shaped specifically for the original ATTO 3's interior layout will not fit the corresponding redesigned areas of the EVO.
However, some accessories designed for other parts of the cabin remain compatible with both models. We'll list the confirmed options below to help you find the right products.
3. Boot Space: More Storage in the ATTO 3 EVO
The ATTO 3 EVO offers more luggage space than the original model. For European-specification vehicles, the rear boot capacity is approximately 490 litres, compared with around 440 litres in the original ATTO 3. The EVO also features a 101-litre front storage compartment, commonly known as a frunk.
The redesigned rear boot means that the original ATTO 3 boot mat is not compatible with the EVO.

4. Is the OEM Dashcam Compatible with Your ATTO 3 or ATTO 3 EVO?
If you're considering a genuine BYD OEM dashcam, compatibility depends on more than just the vehicle model name. The available connections, vehicle specifications and whether an additional cable is required can all affect your purchase.

5. Which Accessories Are Compatible with Both the ATTO 3 and ATTO 3 EVO?
Some accessories are available for both models, while others are designed exclusively for the ATTO 3 EVO. At TOP BYD, we indicate the applicable vehicle version through the product options and compatibility information.

An Important Note About Floor Mats for the ATTO 3 EVO
There is one additional detail worth noting when choosing floor mats for the ATTO 3 EVO.
On left-hand-drive (LHD) versions, there is a small raised section beneath the accelerator pedal. This can prevent the floor mat from sitting completely flush against the floor.
This issue does not affect right-hand-drive (RHD) versions in the same way.
If you own a left-hand-drive ATTO 3 EVO, please take this difference into account when selecting floor mats.

If a product explicitly lists the ATTO 3 EVO, it is suitable for the specified EVO version. If the EVO is not listed, do not assume that the product is compatible.
